Goppion Caffetteria: A Charming Coffee Retreat in Fort York

This is a cute little café in the Fort York area. I stopped by one afternoon for a quick coffee. They had a small selection of pastries, looks like most are from Nord Lyon, though they might make some in-house too. I didn’t try any this time. I ordered an Americano, and it was just okay, nothing special, and it wasn’t hot enough, which was a letdown. The person working there was friendly and helpful, though. Overall, it’s a nice spot, but since coffee quality matters a lot to me, I’m not sure I’d go back. There’s just 1-2 tables and seats in the cafe but not really comfortable. It’s mainly a grab and go place.

We stopped by Goppion Caffetteria shortly after it opened for the day and were warmly welcomed by a wonderful gentleman who greeted us with genuine hospitality. His kindness and attentiveness set a lovely tone for the visit. The Americanos were smooth and well-balanced—just what we needed to start the morning right. The croissants, however, were a bit underwhelming—lacking the crisp, flakiness and flavor we were hoping for. While the atmosphere was charming and the service excellent, the prices felt a bit steep given the overall quality. That said, we still enjoyed our experience. A warm welcome and a good cup of coffee can go a long way, and Goppion certainly delivered on both.

This is a small cafe with a cute patio located near Canoe Landing Park. The owners are friendly! We got an iced coffee and iced Americano to enjoy on the patio, they have their own brand of coffee. It was not too acidic. They had some amazing looking fresh pastries but we didn't try They also have sandwiches and pantry items available for sale.

Finally, a good coffee shop in City Place!!! Drinks and food are absolutely great, and the owner is super friendly - which creates a really cozy environment. They have all sorts of drinks (coffee, matcha, chai, teas...) and the pastries were a great surprise (apparently they are made in a high-quality french bakery!). The background music is great, and they have a few tables inside and outside. Def my go-to place in the area as of today! :)

Cute little coffee spot with pastries, sandwiches, coffees, and teas! I got the Brownie Cold Brew. Perfect ratio of milk and sweetness. I wish this place had more space to sit inside/outside. Get here early otherwise take it to go. There is a nice quiet grassy area across the street.

Wonderful service, the drinks were delicious and nothing needed to be added. The food is delicious and the best damn pecan butter tart I've ever had. Thank you!

Absolutely love the mozzarella and sun dried tomato baked good. Come back for it every time! Atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so warm and friendly. I always get take out and have it with coffee at home
